Yesterday we used the intentional, directional parts of our minds to think about what we do and create, and why. Today, we slip back into the subconscious.
The ability to connect to this part of the brain, let it take over and rove is a key part of creativity.
Set your timer for seven minutes, grab a pen and paper and write.
Write whatever comes to mind, even if it’s “I don’t know what to write.” Just keep putting words down one after another. Don’t worry about what you’re writing - no one else has to see it, and don’t stop until the timer is up. Let the messy thoughts of your brain slip out onto the paper however they come.
How was that for you?
